[January] Chipotle & Yorgurtland Fundraiser

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported this fundraiser! We were able to raise over $100 for PTP! That is incredible! We hope you will look forward to our next fundraiser!

(ps the cheesecake flavor at yorgurtland is my favorite)

[November] Mt. Shadows Christmas Lights Decorating

As the holiday season approaches it’s time for some festive activities! Saturday, November 20th we gladly helped decorate Mountain Shadows Community Homes with some holiday cheer by putting up lights, Christmas inflatables and other holiday decorations. I personally have never decorated outdoors with Christmas lights so this was a really fun experience for me and I’m glad that my first time putting up Christmas lights  was helping spread some holiday cheer within the community! It was also great meeting Ms. Perdaris who coordinated the event and helped us to decorate along the way. We split into pairs and were given a task and area to decorate. That way we could easily decorate everything in time. We can’t wait to see the finished outcome once the electricians come to plug everything in!

[November] FALL RALLY SOUTH 2021

[November] EHS Spirit Night + Card Making Service

In preparation for Fall Rally South’s spirit battles our club held our own spirit session for key clubbers to really get a hold of the cheers they would need! The one and only (+ one of the division’s spirit coordinators) Amy Nguyen led the spirit session and the officer board helped out of course! It was a great and fun day! Jellies were hard at work practicing those spirit cheers! Afterwards they got to settle by watching a movie, enjoying some snacks and earned some service hours by creating appreciation cards for teachers or whomever they felt like expressing appreciation to. Who doesn’t like receiving a handmade card every once in a while!

[October] After School Clean-Ups

WOWEE October really just flew by! During the month of October we had the opportunity to hold in-person service events as well as an online service event! Our first after-school clean up was held for the first time in an incredibly long while. We were so happy to see so many people attend and they did an absolutely wonderful job! They had great teamwork as they divided and conquered the school campus when looking to pick up trash. They did such a wonderful job that we just had to hold another one and so we did!  A couple of our key clubbers attended the monthly Interfaith sandwich making on Tuesday which need I remind you is bright and early at 5 in the morning! For their dedication to wake up early on a school day they enjoyed a well deserved breakfast. An online service event, which was Freerice, was held during the whole month of October for those who don’t have the flexibility to attend in-person service events and need to get those service hours in for FRS whoop whoop :O! Our key clubbers have been hard at work participating in service events and attending our meetings and we are ever so grateful!

[June] SDCDM Deweeding & Mulching w/OGHS, SP, DLA

For the month of June, we held two SDCDM events in preparation of their re-opening to the public. The first event we held was on June 19, where we helped beautify the garden areas by removing the weeds to prepare for the mulching. After the service event we, Escondido Key Club, held our first in person officer meeting with 5 Escondido members present. We also got to work with Orange Glen members that day as well. The second SDCDM event was a mulching event on Sunday, June 27th that started at 9 am and was expected to finish at 11:45am. However, due to our efficiency and teamwork, we were able to finish earlier at around 10:30am. We are so grateful to have worked with the other schools including Del Lago, Orange Glen, and San Pasqual who made the job so much easier. We all split into groups and had some members dumping the mulch and other members leveling the mulch. These events were also a great opportunity to get to know the other officers and bond with them afterwards! We are very appreciative to start going back to in person events and looking forward for more to come!

[May] Kit Carson Park Clean-Up

During the month of May, we had an in-person service event which was a clean-up at Kit Carson Park! We helped clear out and clean up around Tree Lake where tree branches had been trimmed off, which would help beautify the area! We had key clubbers without gloves raking the leaves/sticks into a pile and then key clubbers with gloves would be picking them up to place them into a bag (that’s what I call teamworkkk!) During our breaks, we talked with one another and hung around the park. I had such an enjoyable time meeting and hanging out with everyone there! This was a Love Esco project and there were many people who came together as a community to help clean up and beautify Kit Carson. We’re all glad that we got to be a part of that!
